Sophia Bacanurschi

Sophia Bacanurschi is an Honors English Literature student at Concordia University with a love for words, storytelling, and learning from the people and ideas around her. Her academic and professional experiences have taken her from literature and social theory to clean energy, architecture, and sustainability, where she has developed a passion for turning complex ideas into stories that people can connect with.

Curious by nature, Sophia enjoys asking questions, having thoughtful conversations, and finding the human side of even the most technical subjects. Growing up in the greater Boston area she is especially interested in the ways language, technology, and culture shape how we understand one another. In her free time she enjoys any and all water activities, specifically cliff jumping and surfing. She also loves to read (of course) and play the piano with her siblings.
