Energy Efficiency for All

Energy Efficiency For All is a program to engage high school students in and around Framingham, MA, through hands-on activities learning about energy efficiency measures which they and their families can benefit from.

Supported by a Mass Save Community Education grant, Energy Efficiency For All leverages MassEnergize’s existing partnership with the Perspectives of Earth – Team Mentorship (PETM), a well-established high school internship program of the Christa McAuliffe Center for Integrated Science Learning at Framingham State University. The partnership was created to engage residents of Environmental Justice neighborhoods, including renters, low and moderate income, and English isolated residents of South Framingham, helping them reduce their energy burdens through adoption of clean energy.

Energy for Generations

Newburyport Clean Energy for Generations engages older adults as Clean Energy Counselors, training and supporting them to become active volunteer peer influencers in their communities. By participating in this program, these elder counselors help share knowledge about clean energy solutions and inspire action among their peers.

Program Focus Areas:

  • Heat Pump Technology – Efficient heating and cooling solutions for homes
  • Home Solar – Generating clean energy and reducing energy costs
  • Community Solar – Expanding access and reducing energy burdens for residents
  • Energy Efficiency Improvements – Helping households lower energy use and costs

Through these efforts, the program strengthens climate resilience and empowers older adults to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Support & Partners:
This program is supported by an Energy Efficiency Community Block Grant from the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) and the City of Newburyport.

Energizing Melrose: Heat Pump Coaching with Social Media

MassEnergize is proud to support the City of Melrose in expanding access to clean heating and cooling solutions through its free Heat Pump Coaching service. This initiative helps residents navigate the transition to heat pumps by providing expert guidance tailored to their home and needs.

To amplify the program’s reach, MassEnergize leverages social media to engage the community, designing targeted posts for platforms like Facebook and Instagram to increase awareness and drive participation.

Through this collaboration, the City of Melrose is empowering more residents to adopt energy-efficient solutions, reducing carbon emissions and advancing local climate goals.

Resilient Swampscott

MassEnergize is proud to support the Swampscott Climate Action and Resilience Committee by delivering a comprehensive suite of community engagement services to empower Swampscott residents to take meaningful climate action. This partnership began with the creation of a customized Community Engagement Platform (resilientswampscott.org), serving as the central hub for outreach and education, and an inventory of community assets to ensure a strong foundation for success.

To amplify the campaign’s reach, MassEnergize assists with designing social media content, print materials, and a community survey to gather valuable feedback.

Through this collaboration, the Resilient Swampscott Committee mobilizes the community and drives meaningful progress toward their climate action goals, advancing Swampscott’s commitment to a sustainable, net-zero future.
