Programs

We at MassEnergize support our communities in a wide variety of ways. In addition to the many services we provide to municipal and community leaders, we are actively engaged on the ground in multiple communities running clean energy and climate action programs. See below for our current clean energy programs in operation.

Community First Partnership

Community First Partnership

MassEnergize is excited to announce that it is one of 58 communities selected to participate in the 2025-2027 Mass Save Community First Partnership. We are working with local Mass Save Sponsor, National Grid, and bringing the CFP program to the cities of Newburyport and Amesbury. Through this initiative, we aim to increase participation in Mass Save energy efficiency solutions among renters, landlords, non-English speaking customers, low- and moderate-income households, and small businesses.

PlugIn for Resilience

PlugIn for Resilience is a collaborative effort among six Metrowest communities - Acton, Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Sudbury, and Wayland - to accelerate residential electrification. Launched in 2023, the program helps towns share resources, events, and outreach strategies to promote clean energy solutions like heat pumps, solar, and community solar. By working together under a common brand, communities can amplify impact while reducing the burden of going it alone.

Solar Para Todos (“Solar for All”)

This program brings the benefits of solar energy to income-eligible residents in Framingham’s Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking communities. Through local Energy Ambassadors and high school students, the program connects renters with community solar, reduces energy burdens, and builds clean energy awareness across generations and cultures.

Supercharging Clean Energy Engagement in EJ Communities

This program helps Environmental Justice (EJ) communities engage residents more effectively in clean energy action. MassEnergize is partnering with local organizations to apply new digital tools, expand outreach capacity, and run multilingual awareness campaigns, making it easier for communities to take meaningful climate action.

Youth Climate Solutions Challenge

Youth Climate Solutions Challenge

The Youth Climate Solutions Challenge is a dynamic, community-based educational program offered by MassEnergize for public high school students across the Commonwealth. This climate focused, team-based competition invites students to become local champions of clean energy, engaging them outside of the classroom in designing and leading real-world outreach campaigns that promote the adoption of clean and renewable technologies such as solar, heat pumps, electric vehicles, or other alternatives.
