Solar Para Todos
Solar Para Todos (“Solar for All” in Portuguese and Spanish) is a program designed to bring the benefits of solar energy to income-eligible residents of Framingham, MA, with a focus on low-income Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking communities, many of whom are renters.
The program trains and empowers local residents as Energy Ambassadors, who conduct outreach campaigns to reduce energy burdens through participation in community solar, while also increasing awareness of clean energy solutions in their neighborhoods. High school students also help extend knowledge of clean energy, fostering community empowerment across generations, cultures, and languages.
Program Focus Areas:
- Community Solar – Reducing energy costs and expanding access to renewable energy
- Outreach & Education – Training local residents to share knowledge and promote clean energy
- Youth Engagement – Involving high school students to spread awareness and build community capacity
Support & Partners:
This program is supported by an EmPower grant from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, and MassEnergize has been successfully running it since the summer of 2024.
