Partner of the 2021 Regenerative Communities Summit

Partner of the 2021 Regenerative Communities Summit

Aside from volunteering for MassEnergize, our co-founder Kaat Vander Straeten also volunteers for Transition US, the US arm of the international Transition Network. She serves as a member of the Transition US Collaborative Design Council, as the facilitator for the Local Initiatives Working Group, and as a member of the Summit Program Working Group.

The latter organizes the ambitious 2021 Summit,  the Regenerative Communities Summit, which will happen from Friday, September 24th through Sunday, October 10th.

This hybrid (online and in-person) event is organized by dozens of international, national, regional and local partner organizations who are leading the transition to a more just and sustainable society. It will offer an abundance of inspiring plenary sessions, skill-building workshops, dynamic discussion spaces, film screenings, and many engaging activities, tracing an arc from “What Is” to “What If” to “What’s Next.” Participants are invited to register on a pay-what-you-can basis, connect directly with each other via our Mighty Networks platform, and attend local and regional events throughout the country.

MassEnergize is a proud partner of this Summit and wants to share these three opportunities:

  1. Check it out, and register (pay-what-you-can).Free for Youth + BIPOC visionaries. Pay-what-you-can for movement builders (suggested donation of $45/registrant) All proceeds donated to Transition US to support local, regional and programmatic growth for regenerative U.S. communities. Get live or recorded access to thought-provoking panels, inspiring speakers, film screenings followed by live discussions, powerful workshops, and more co-creation connections.
  2. Show your support by becoming a Partner for the Summit. All it takes is simply a commitment to promoting the Summit in whatever ways work best for them and receive a variety of benefits, including: Your logo, linked to your website, featured on the main webpage for the Summit and included in all Transition US emails about the Summit, acknowledgement of your support during our opening and closing ceremonies, a “Partner Spotlight” post highlighting your organization on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and a dedicated space for your organization to connect directly with Summit participants on our Mighty Networks platform. For more information and to become a Partner, please click here. Once you’re signed up, we will send you materials to share with your core group and your wider list of members and supporters.
  3. Share this invitation (to partnering) with other local groups that work in the same space of community and resilience building (this could be town committees, grassroots groups, non-profits or businesses that have climate change in their mission statement, a local college…).. They may not be on my list (yet!) and if they are, they won’t mind getting it twice, or thrice. This is not a Summit for Transition folks only, and imagine “running into” one another at this national Summit! Please feel free to forward this email to them.
